Welcome to Glide - Teleprompter for Reels ("Glide", "we", "us", or "our"), created and operated by Skandx. We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting it through our offline-first, privacy-by-design architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used, and protected when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Summary: Our Core Privacy Principles

• Zero Cloud Video Uploads: All your teleprompter scripts, video takes, and camera recordings remain strictly on your physical device. We never upload, stream, analyze, or store your videos on our servers.
• No Account Required: You can use Glide without creating an account, registering, or providing your email or name.
• No Data Selling or Ad Tracking: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We do not integrate third-party ad networks or tracking brokers.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Device Permissions & On-Device Data

To provide the core features of the teleprompter studio, Glide requests the following system permissions:

• Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): Required to display the real-time camera viewfinder behind your scrolling script and record high-definition vertical video takes. All camera processing is performed entirely on your device hardware.
• Microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription): Required to capture clear audio alongside your video recordings. Audio is encoded locally on-device into your video file.
• Photo Library / Camera Roll (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription & NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription): Required when you choose to save, export, or manage your recorded takes directly in Apple Photos.

B. User Scripts & Local Data

Your teleprompter scripts, folders, scroll speed preferences, font size settings, and recording metadata are stored exclusively in your device's sandboxed local storage (AsyncStorage / local file system). This data never leaves your iPhone unless you explicitly back up your entire device using Apple iCloud Device Backup or iTunes/Finder backup.

C. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (RevenueCat & Apple StoreKit)

Glide offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Glide+). We do not collect or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or billing addresses. All payment processing is conducted securely by Apple Inc. through the App Store. To manage and validate your subscription status across app sessions, we use RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat"), an industry-standard in-app purchase infrastructure provider.

• Information Processed by RevenueCat:
  • Anonymous, randomly generated App User ID (rc_anon_...).
  • Transaction metadata (purchase timestamp, product identifier, expiration date, and store receipt verification token).
  • General device characteristics (device model, iOS version, system language, and country code) to ensure accurate localized pricing and tax calculations.

D. Crash & Technical Diagnostics

To diagnose crashes, memory issues, and ensure smooth 60 FPS camera performance, the App may collect anonymous, non-identifying diagnostic data (e.g., app version, operating system version, and crash stack traces). This data does not contain personal information, scripts, or video frames.
